Why Womb Massage is Designed for Women

June 27, 20253 min read

As women our body circles around our hormones and our cycle. I'm a firm believer that women are like the moon and maybe why it fascinates me so. Our cycle is “meant to” represent that of a 28 day period whereas the moon follows a similar pattern.

Seeing as this pattern is often disrupted or the balance is wrong in the way we live these days. Taking care of ourselves are needed. Honestly it's a lot of work to do everything so I highly recommend doing a few routines at a time seeing what works and keeping the ones that do. One that might be perfect for you is Womb Massage. It is something that you are able to do yourself, but there is the help from others.

I'm a certified Yoni Steaming Facilitator and Womb Massage specialist. Trained in Wombversation. This merges the art of womb massage along with affirmations and inner reflection. This service is normally conjoined with Womb Massage as the inner reflection can keep you more open for the steaming.

So, as my article title states why Womb massage is designed for women. Our womb is the center, often it holds a lot of our emotions, like anger and fear. This can make the area tighten and let our usual blood flow grow stagnant. This type of massage is beneficial to have at least once in your life but usually more regular. My favorite reasoning is womb massage is supportive to help regulate our menstrual cycles. Some people even say it helps with painful menstruation.

Other ways it can support is through these many gynaecological concerns you might have, such as PMS, painful periods, irregular periods, blood clots, amenorrhea or absence of period, lower back pain, endometriosis, adhesions, adenomyosis, painful intercourse, ovarian cyst, vaginitis and IBS. There are so many ways this type of support could be beneficial for you but many women use it for their journey when ttc. Some use it as a standalone along with other more holistic measures. Others use it while going through IVF and IUI.

Not only is it good during fertility issues but also beneficial after having a baby and in your postpartum period. Having this type of support can help with any alignment issues your uterus might be facing. Sadly, since our organs are internal and we are unable to see what it looks like we don't always know what is going on and how to support yourself with treatments like womb massage.

As previously mentioned, you will find multiple tutorials online on how to do this for yourself at home and if they don't have a warning hopefully this will guide you one step further. It's not wise to womb massage during your period, do avoid if you have an IUD, you are in the first trimester of pregnancy, and you want to avoid womb massage within the first six weeks post vaginal birth and three months post cesarean birth. Whether you are considering getting support with womb massage from an outside trained professional or having self massage done at home this can be an incredible tool to support you on your journey in life as a woman.
